We are searching for a Senior Visual Merchandising Manager (Visual Operations and Visual Marketing)) with significant experience in multi-national, multi brand Hard (fixtures, lighting, windows, fascia, Store Environment) and soft VM.
This is very much a training, guidance, development, influence role to in excess of 1000 stores / business partners globally whilst maintaining a strong focus on VM creation, design and policy ensuring the delivery of commercial KPI’s.
The suitable applicant will be highly communicative with high levels of impact and influence to ensure VM policy is delivered successfully from store staff to executive levels. Also they will have experience in creating and proof reading VM policy and guides. The ability to manage multiple projects is essential.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Purpose & Impact on Organization:
Drives store profitability through:
• Ensuring that global visual merchandising direction is cascaded to country/regional stores and implemented efficiently and effectively
Key Responsibilities:
Merchandise presentation:
• Is familiar with all aspects of visual merchandising, merchandise presentation standards, PoS use, outfit building & accessorisation and the differences between merchandise
• Very skillful in improved merchandise implementation with regard to attention to detail
Store management:
• Manages multi location/countries and visits each store min once per month
• Makes recommendations regarding shopfit, promotions, ticketing, display & propping, process & communication
• Control the management of the regional budget in liaison with the Retail Operations Centers VMM
Training:
• Comfortable in coaching & training to a senior management level
Project Management:
• Manages multiple projects (e.g. seasonal launches, department relays) from concept to conclusion in partnership with regional & global teams
Other:
• Ascertains our competition in area, monitors and provides feedback on findings
• Reads & interprets store report data and makes recommendations for change based on trading position
• Is familiar with health & safety standards
Key Relationships:
• Customers
• Peers / Supervisor
Knowledge, Capabilities and Experience:
• Exposure to Retail Operations and Retail Marketing functions
• Mobile, able to travel including overnight stays, for training, refits & store buildss.
• Organized calendar management, travel plans, follow ups, meeting management,
• Good PowerPoint & Word skills, exposure to Excel
• Interpersonal, training and leadership skills
• English fluent - further languages would be beneficial
Minimum Qualifications:
• High school education and a minimum of 7 years dedicated VM-experience of which 5 years should be managerial
• Oral and written mastery of local language
